카펜터즈는 카렌 카펜터와 그녀의 오빠 리차드 카펜터가 결성한 미국의 남매 듀오이다.

카펜터스는 카렌의 낮은 음역 보컬과 리차드의 작곡 능력이 결합되어 소프트한 음악을 만들어 냈다.

그들은 14년의 활동 기간 동안, 많은 앨범을 발표하였지만,

1983년 거식증에 의한 심장마비로 카렌 카펜터가 사망하면서 그들의 활동은 자연스레 끝을 맺었다.

Top of The World는 전 세계적으로 사랑을 받았던 카펜터즈의 대표곡이다.

시간의 흐름으로 인해 비쥬얼적 부분은 다소 구식이지만, 그 음색과 음악은 절대 그렇지 않다.
