1997년 3월 3일 쿠바 태생의 미국 가수 카밀라 카베요는 2012년 Fifth Harmony라는 그룹으로 인지도를 쌓기 시작하였다. 2016년 그룹에서 탈퇴한 후 솔로로 활동을 이어가고 있다.

2017년 겨울에 발표한 데뷔 싱글 Real Friends는 진실한 친구를 찾는다는 가사를 담고 있다. 

곡이 발매 되었을 때, 카밀라 카베요가 몸담았었던 그룹 Fifth Harmony의 멤버들에 관한 이야기가 아니냐하는 추측들이 돌았으나, 카밀라 카베요 본인이 부정하고 나섰다.
